If you are asked to provide a sample to the practice (i.e. urine, sputum, stool etc,) please ask for the appropriate sample pot from nurse reception. Please ensure you write your name and date of birth clearly on the outside of the container. You must ensure you hand in your specimen pot before 11:30 at nurse reception as all specimens are collected at promptly and we cannot store specimens overnight at the practice. If your specimen in handed in after this time you will be asked to provide another sample.
If you have had a blood test or X-ray arranged by the practice you do not need to contact us with the result; we will contact you if you have an abnormal result. However, if you do wish to enquire about your results after 1 week you can contact us between the hours of 14:00 – 15:30 on 01942 807807 (excluding Wednesdays).Results will only be given to the patient and not to relatives/friends in line with patient confidentiality regulations.
Please note that results can take up to 10 days to come back with cervical smear results taking up to 6 weeks.
