The new way to request contact with your GP is via AskmyGP. This is a web based system where you submit a summary of your query/problem to the practice. THE SYSTEM IS AVALIABLE FOR SUBMISSIONS MONDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-8:45AM. If you have an urgent request after 8:45am you can contact the practice via telephone. You can access the system via the following link – https://my.askmygp.uk/?c=P92010.
Your request is passed to the GP who will asses the information you have provided, so we ask in order to help the GP best triage your submission you supply as much information as possible. The GP will then determine the most clinically effective way to manage your request. If your request is assessed as clinically urgent, you will be contacted the same day. If your request is considered routine, it may be the following day. This will depend on the volume of requests received.
You will need to make yourself available to take a call throughout the day as due to the high number of calls we are receiving, the G.P does not have the availability to attempt to call patients on multiple occasions. We appreciate this is very different than how we previously operated our appointment system, however due to Covid-19 changes have needed to be made to permit us to continue to have maximum appointments numbers available.
Nurse appointments and phlebotomy appointments remain unchanged and can be booked by contacting our Nurse Reception on 01942 807807 (option 2). Patients requiring blood tests also have the option of attending other sites, including The Thomas Linacre Centre in Wigan.
Please DO NOT attend the surgery to book any appointments. All of the administration and clinical team at the surgery thank you for your support and understanding during the the Covid-19 pandemic. We are still making decisions based on the guidance we are receiving from Public Health England and minimising the risk to our patients. #helpustohelpyou
