Appointments for these services can be made with our nurses.

Blood tests are usually done on Weds or Thurs, ECG's and lung function tests can be arranged as needed, and an appointment will be needed for 24hr blood pressure assessment.

Please ring 01942 614307 to make an appointment.

Cervical smears

We would like to stress the importance of women between 25 and 65 having regular smears. This helps to avoid cervical cancer.

Those women between 25 - 49 are invited every 3 years, and those between 50-64 are invited every 5 years.

For more information see here

Smears are done by our practice nurses and take about 15 minutes in total. The procedure is pain free, although a little uncomfortable and embarrassing for some. This is time well spent to help avoid one particular type of cancer.

Please ring 01942 614307 to make an appointment.

Child Health

We have a number of services dedicated to children.

We have a dedicated surgery for the under 5's. Please attend the surgery between 3.30pm and 3.45 and we will see the children. No appointment is necessary.

Dr Lord (or Dr Marwick in his absence) runs a clinic to follow those people on warfarin.

Minor Operations

Dr Marwick runs a minor surgery service where small skin lesions, cysts, moles and warts are treated by surgical removal or cryotherapy.

After consultation with your doctor, you will be listed for the procedure and will be contacted later with an appointment.

Travel Health

Our nurses can provide all your travel vaccination needs at the surgery, including yellow fever vaccination.

Our nurses can give up to date advice on which vaccinations are required and current advice on anti-malarial treatment. They can also advise on general health issues for the traveller.

We follow the Government's guidelines on travel vaccinations and you may be charged for this service. You will be charged for yellow fever vaccination, and anti-malarial medication is only available on a private prescription ( meaning you will have to pay the full price at the pharmacy).
