Opening times
The surgery is open from 8.00 am to
6.30 except Wednesday.
There is no
afternoon surgery on Wednesday, we close at 12.30.
Appointments
with the Doctors
We are implementing
the government's "Advanced Access" policy. This should mean that you can get
an appointment on the day that you need it, and that there will be no need
to book ahead. We hope that you will bear with us
through particularly busy periods.
Morning surgeries run from 8.55 in the morning and from 4.00pm in the
evening
with booked appointments only. You should ring the surgery on the day you
want to be seen.
At busy times we
realise it will be difficult to arrange specific appointments with specific
doctors.
If you wish to see a particular doctor, please tell the receptionist.
Appointments may
be made in person at the surgery or by telephone on 01942 821899
from 8.00am
If you know you
cannot attend for an appointment please try to ring us to let us know so we
can free that appointment for someone else.
Under 5's
Our very popular
afternoon surgery for the under 5's will continue at 3.30pm. You will
not need an appointment for this surgery, but we ask that you turn up
at the surgery before 3.45pm. We will then see the under 5's and you
should only have to wait for 10 - 15 minutes at the most.

Appointments with the counsellors
Your doctor may refer you
for counselling. Our counselling service is provided by the Wigan primary
care trust. You will usually be asked to complete a form and leave this, at
reception, for Jenny, our counsellor. The form will also have information
about the type of counselling you will be offered.
We also have a counsellor
who is interested in problems relating to alcohol, Mr Dave
Eaton.
You may be referred by your doctor or you can refer yourself.
Appointment with our physiotherapist
If you have
been referred for physiotherapy, our physiotherapist will contact you to
arrange an appointment. Initially this will usually be at the surgery but
she may organise further treatments at the hospital.
